How do I initiate an order for a website with PROBIZonline? PROBIZonline is a locally owned and operated business. We talk in small business terms, and as such, can talk your language when it comes to organising your business website. Fill in the enquiry form, send us an email, or pick up the phone; we will discuss your prospective website in terms that you understand.
What sort of choices will I get with PROBIZonline? This is your website, and needs to reflect who you are and what you do. Therefore the choices are almost limitless. It is important to nail down a look and feel at the conception stages of a website, so have a brainstorm session with regards to what you want to get from your website, how you want it to operate, as well as the colour theme, look and feel, imagery etc. At this stage it is also a good idea to chat to someone who knows your business intimately, for example a colleague, employee, partner, friend, or even a good client.
What if I don’t have a logo? As well as designing a look and feel for your website, PROBIZonline can design you a logo and concept that can work throughout your business. Brand identity is very important in today’s competitive marketplace. Having a website that reflects your branding only serves to strengthen your image.
How much input will I have? PROBIZonline is dedicated to providing you with a website that accurately portrays your business and the services that it provides. As such, we only publish material provided by, and approved by you. In the early stages, information gathering is a must, as this gives us an idea of how your website will need to be structured. Pull together as much digital copy as you can, and as best as you are able, categorise it under a few headings. This is the form work for your website’s menu system.
What if I don’t have any appropriate imagery? Imagery is a vital part of an online presence. Because most small businesses are not in a position to be able to pay a professional photographer, and apart from building a website, would not have a need for it, PROBIZonline has the equipment and know-how to do a basic photo shoot, on site, at a reasonable cost. We can provide you with the imagery your website requires to make it stand out from the online crowd.
Are the costs likely to blow out from the initial quoted amount? PROBIZonline will give you a firm quote based on the requirements you have given us. Websites do tend to ‘evolve’ as they take shape, and you may find that there are features you want halfway, or towards completion of your website that you might not have initially thought of. There is no reason that these features cannot be added, but they may increase the cost of your website. However we will never do the work without informing you prior of any additional costs, and should you decide against the additional features and cost, you will not hinder the completion of your website to the original requested standard.
When do changes start to incur additional costs? There are stages of completion during the construction of a website. The first stage is the design stage, creating the look and feel. The second stage is construction of the template, incorporating the look and feel into a website structure. The third stage is content building and the menu system, where the information you have provided us is inserted into the website, and the menus are linked to the information. The fourth stage is integrating imagery with the content. The final stage is tying it all together, adding links to other related sites where requested, and finishing the layout of content and imagery.
Where changes are requested for a stage that is considered finished, additional costs may occur. It is not a simple thing to change the look and feel, template, or menu system, so it is important that any changes are made during the stages at which these are done, avoiding additional costs later.
What after sales service is included? PROBIZonline is never further than a phone call or email away, should you have any questions or problems regarding your website. Where website changes or training are required, additional costs may occur.
Will I be able to make changes to my website after it is finished? A website is an evolutionary marketing tool. Your website will continue to grow and evolve around your business needs. You can request changes at any time, and again, PROBIZonline will provide you with a firm quote based on your requirements prior to work proceeding.
What if PROBIZonline makes a mistake? Any mistakes, for example typing errors, made by PROBIZonline will be fixed free of charge regardless of the time period in which they are discovered.
What training can be provided with regards to making my own changes? PROBIZonline can provide you with training, giving you the ability to make your own changes and updates. If this is required, it is best that you mention it in the initial stages of requirements and quoting, as it will be at an additional cost. While it is not difficult to learn, it is important that you understand the constraints, to minimise any periods of your website being offline.
What are the ongoing costs? There is an annual hosting cost (the first year being included in your construction cost), which is billed yearly starting on the first anniversary of your website being published online. This cost will vary, depending on the size and structure of your website.
What payment terms are available? PROBIZonline understands that small businesses may not have the cash flow to pay for a website all at once. We operate on a progress payment system, based on the construction stages of the website. When you sign off on your template, you will receive an invoice for one third of the total quoted cost, a second third will be invoiced after all content and imagery is included, and the final third will be invoiced upon completion and payment will be required in order for the site to ‘go live’, and be published online. If you require other terms, please discuss this during the quoting stage so that we can accommodate your needs.
